Immigration to Prince Edward Island resumes! On July 17, 2020, the province published the results of the invitation rounds for its Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program (PEI PNP). On July 10, the province invited 8 candidates from core service industries such as healthcare and trucking in the Labor Impact category. On July 16, PEI ran a regular draw and sent out invitations to 158 qualified workers through the Labor Impact Category and Express Entry streams, as well as 29 candidates in the Business Work Permit Entrepreneurs stream.

The lowest score for entrepreneurs was 117 points, which corresponds to the June draw. For this draw, PEI has only invited candidates whose applications were submitted in March and April 2020 and from candidates currently residing and working in the province. In total, PEI has invited 195 candidates for these draws. The province has issued 610 invitations since January, while PEI PNP has invited 1,351 candidates in the past 12 months, and 10% of them were in the business category.
