Whether that be for commercial architecture or residential design, our shop-in-shop concept provides a synergy of leading design products in a design trade show-style store. In essence, our design center is a living library of product for all design needs for clients and design professionals.
The Job (must be available Sunday & Monday)
Are you charming? Do you like being in front of customers? Efficient and very familiar on computers?
A typical day:
Greeting customers (by phone or in store) & coordinating a sales staff to help the customers out
Making price tags for the new product that arrived
Packaging an order for a client or signing out samples
Clearing out old sample fabrics and putting in new fabrics
Vendor communication and keeping the sales staff informed of changes
Updating vendor information and inventory in our point-of-sale system and on our website
Decorating store for current sales, events, or simply the season
Assisting the accountant in any bookkeeping needs
Sending email marketing about our new promotion

You like helping people. You get a kick out of getting people to those aha! You are patient, level-headed, and cool under pressure. Teaching someone something new makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
You enjoy solving problems. You love taking on difficult challenges and finding creative solutions. You don’t get flustered easily. If you don’t know the answer, you’ll dig until you find it.
You pay attention to the details. As far as you’re concerned, anything worth doing is worth doing right, every single time. Multi-tasking is definitely an everyday occurrence and accuracy cannot be compromised.

It’s a bonus if you have:
A background in Furniture and/or Design (familiar with our lines we carry)
Experience with Quickbooks
To get this job, you need to have some experience helping other people. It doesn’t need to be traditional customer service experience. Internships, volunteer work, and side projects count. Just make sure we can see where you picked up your helping people super powers somewhere in your resume.
